Two of the best things in life, a good family and a good community of friends.

Yes that's right folks you heard me right, two of the best things in life are having a good family and a good community of friends to share life with. If you don't have a good family I cannot help you out there, but if you are looking for a great community of friends to be a part of you should join the homesteading community.

This community is full of friendly and helpful people. I truly believe it is because those of us who realize that we need to get back to our roots are people who are inherently just plain good Folk.
In this episode of Hewett Homestead we joined in a gift box swap with a fellow YouTube channel named Wonderful Blessed Life. They are a beautiful family on the West Coast who happened to have a daughter the same age as my daughter. They contacted us about doing a gift exchange amongst the little ladies. The good times that ensued can be found in today's video. 
You will also get a chance to see day one of our weekend vacation with my family. It was truly a blast.
