Walnut and Sheep - Silvopasture
The walnut orchard, planted during the days of communism, on the fringes of our town is an excellent example of silvopasture. The alleys are grazed by local sheep and goat herds. The orchard is not irrigated, sprayed or fertilized, relying on the grazing and rainfall for sustenance. I've no idea how productive the system is but the trees and alley growth certainly look very healthy.
Need to run some chickens, turkeys, and geese through there too!
