Happy Heroes Day

Felt like penning down a random thought as I met a hero today.

There are days where you feel invincible, like nothing can ever harm you or even touch you, even to the point we are in delusion to have magical powers. I am quite sure, how every single one of us feels like a hero in most days in our lives, if not all.

It is simply amazing on how human can get super powers just with the flick of the finger or the split second, especially a human type called PARENTS!

I remember a Mom, whose source of power comes from the 2 young children. She herself was down with high dengue fever. With aching body and eye bulging brain hammering headache, she can still drive under the hot sun sending her kids to school! Now that is what you called LOVE from a sick puppy!

Dads are always the best entertainer a kid can ever have. They always be and make their own children wonderful stunts, only to have moms watch in horror. If you ever look back, it was exactly those 'dad stunts' that either made us braver or come back with a victorious scar to show off.

Today I encounter a heroine....viral flu for the past few days, got vertigo, drove to work JUST to inform the boss that she wants to rest for the day, drove home, got vertigo, fainted and hit the corner of the eye, only to wake up with blood on her face. She even got the power to wake up, clean up, call her daughter to send her to the doctor. All given that she is alright at the end of the whole episode, all she wanted or craved for, is just some love and care back from her loved one.

Regardless on how heroic all of us can be, we do have our vulnerable side. All beings crave to be loved and cherished, even to be pampered a little.

When was the last time you hugged your loved ones? When was the last time you had a quiet look at the wrinkles at sets on their faces? When was the last time you touch their arms, just to show that you still care?

Parents Day (Mothers Day and Fathers Day) is just around the corner....wishing all, regardless you are a parent or not, a Happy Heroes Day simply because everyone is a hero that should be pampered and loved!
