People people, things people

I read this in a book a little while ago and I thought it'll be something interesting to share about. There are two types of people -- people people and things people.

People people like to talk about people, relationships, experiences. It could be about them, about the people around them or even someone they see on TV or on the internet. The topic that interests them is "people".

Things people like to talk about things -- objects, instruments, how to build things, how to repair things and so on.

The next time you meet someone new, take a step back, realise whether they are a people/things person -- this might help the person be more comfortable, and you might earn yourself a new friend. :)
