"An Interface Between Realities"
Do you ever think,
That when you lay your head down at night
To sleep,
Close your eyes, that when you reopen them, it is a
New world?
In a very real sense, your sleep and dreams are
Then the “Doorway to tomorrow”.
The world you know
Vanishes overnight,
Only to reappear upon awakening,
But is it exactly the same?
How would we know if it
Were the same;
If some subtle difference were an
Echo of a dream, or
Is our memory of yesterday
Somehow flawed?
Yesterday is after all, just a
Memory, and
Tomorrow is only a Potential;
Having not yet occurred.
In this way sleep
And the dream world it encompasses is
Truly a doorway to tomorrow, an
“Interface between realities”.

Does it present anything
Useful in the here and
Now? That’s hard to say;

Maybe I’ll have an
