Mustafa Kemal Atatürk also known as founder of modern Turkey was born in 1881. His birth place was Selanik (Thessalonica) which belongs to the Greece, now. His father, Ali Rıza Efendi was an ottoman officer and trader. His mother Zübeyde Hanım was a housewife. His sisters name was Makbule.

When Mustafa was 7 years old, his dad Ali Rıza Efendi died. He had to move on his uncle's farm with Zübeyde Hanım. He was a farmer but he was a very clever boy, he entered the Military Middle School in Salonika. In 1895, after finishing the Military Middle School, Mustafa Kemal entered the Military High School in Manastir.
He was one of the most successful students. After completing those steps , he went to Istanbul for Military Academy. After finishing the Military Academy, Mustafa Kemal went on to the General Staff College in 1902. He was graduated from the Academy with the rank of captain on the 11th of January, 1905.

He attented lots of wars as a commander. Some of these wars like Gallipoli gave him reputation. The Turks noticed him with those wars. When WW1 ended, Ottoman's condition was very bad.Turks lost their independence. Mustafa wanted to defend country whatever it costs but The Sultan didn't do anything, so Mustafa went to Samsun with his friends who share the same ideas with him.

He organized the Turks, he fought with his nation against the enemy. In the end Turks won the war and Modern Turkey founded. But still, Mustafa's fight didn't over. He knew that world was changing and the Turks must keep up with it. His revolution was so big and so deep, he changed lots of thinks including government type. He made Turks ready for the new world.

In the end, he died in 1938. Turks honoured him by giving the name ''Atatürk ''( Father of Turks ).
