When I look back at the peace and unity that once existed in my community, my eyes is fill with tears. I can still remember it just like yesterday. Anytime we were giving midterms or vacation, every single student from my community was very glad to go back home and meet his/her parents. Reuniting with old friends and family was one of the key moments one never forgets.
We are craving for peace as a community, yet look at how we deprived our children the opportunity to grow in an atmosphere, free of chaos, disorder, anarchy and greed. It bleeds my heart as I can no longer tell people where I come from. I cannot concentrate in school for I know not who in my family might be the next victim to this conflict. Is been five good years now and yet we are unable to resolve the conflict as people of the same identity. This has claim more than hundred life and counting and a lot of properties burnt into ashes. Parents have died living children. Is this how we built our dear land? A land that great men fought and shed blood to earn.

Family members no longer in talking terms with one another. One is only friends with people he thinks is in the same side with him/her. Because we are living in times of fear. And you never know who is watching or plotting evil against you, when you have nothing to do with the dispute. Your best friend might be the person to lead you straight into a trap. What saddens my heart more is the youth involvement in this dispute. The youth only think of working to buy guns and claim to protect their families. When I look back far in 2013, a brother had an admission to study in Turkey and there was no funds to help him. Yet people have use billions of Ghana cedis to buy guns. Are we as people being fare to our future generation?
Have we as people missed the boat of original thinking!!! Why do we see the demise of our beloved community and yet bury our faces in lies. We can settle this dispute together as a community. There is never joy in claiming the life of a human. Let’s take a look at how empty the town is. The land that was once upon a time the embodiment of peace, unity and stability has now been deserted. Natives of the land relocating to different communities in search of peaceful atmosphere. If we can come back to our right instincts, we will realize that war have no victor, which is fact. And no matter how many lives you claim, you are still not a winner. So whats the big deal.

We can bring back the good name of our beloved community if we redefine the importance of peace to us. And this fist can only be achieved if we change our mentalities towards one another, I believe in change. And I believe as a community, together we can resolve the conflict unmake able and bring the community back to its original state. Let’s label every unfortunate event that took place as past and focus on the future. So that we can bring back the peace, unity and stability that once existed in our beloved community. Together we can overcome this conflict. As they say "Together we stand, divided we fall".
I don't even know where to begin, except to say that may the almighty God soften the hearts of our people and let them see the harm they have inflicted on the land. Hopefully, things may get better from there.
Exactly bro. Our people havdefame us to the nonsense degree. Just hoping they can realise the fact that this conflick is leading us no where.
