Computer Build Guide

in #pcbuild7 years ago (edited)

This a guide for anyone who wants needs some assistance building a computer for the first time. This will be a step by step guide, but if you want a more in detail guide, leave me a request in the comments.

  1. First, you want to choose components to your liking. Whether you will be making a PC for productivity or a Gaming PC, parts and prices will differ. For a productive PC, you'll need a high-end Cpu and if you want, a low-end GPU(Graphics card).

  2. Make sure these parts you will order are compatible with each other. For example, when choosing parts, the main component of your Pc will be the Motherboard which basically binds everything together. When looking for the right motherboard, you will be hit in the face with a plethora of choices. Some will have an LGA 1151, 1155, 775, socket am2, socket am3+, etc. The most common one today is the LGA 1155, but be careful to match the CPU socket to the Motherboard socket.

  3. Once you have gathered all your components including a CPU, GPU, Motherboard, Ram, Storage, Power supply(make sure it has enough wattage to support your system), CPU cooler, and lastly a case, to house all the equipment you've purchased.

  4. Once you've made sure that all your components are compatible(You can do this at https://pcpartpicker.com/), you can go ahead and purchase.

  5. Lastly, you can put together your PC, but I highly recommend you go watch a step by step guide on youtube or Dtube on how to build one so that you do not waste money destroying your beloved components.

Thanks for reading and make sure to upvote and comment on this and my other posts.
