Simple but pretty lunch

The presentation of Japanese never ceases to give you a little surprise. From the presentation of the food, the ingredients, the cookware and how it is served, you can always be guaranteed they go that extra mile to make yout meal a delight.

Today's lunch was a beef rice set. The raw beef and vegetable were layered on top of the sauce, and then all the ingredients were placed on a maple leaf and cooked at the table. The maple leaf is rested on a rack which sits on top of a small stove. It only takes a few moments to cook, brilliant idea.
