Happy Birthday to Us...@pifc is 1 year old!
Well it's been a year since @pifc was launched. While I'd love to write some amazing post about the highs...and lows this happens to be my busy season and I am fighting to stay awake at this point...sorry.
What I do want to do is say thank you to those who continue to take time out of their lives each week to hunt down quality posts who deserve a little extra attention. Seen it called dumpster diving by one entrant recently as there is so many shit posts out there and honestly this is exactly why the good ones need more attention. When we help reward the better posts hopefully it will encourage those people to keep posting quality content.
Since I'm falling asleep as I'm sitting here...no joke just did the head bob and startle back awake thing...I'd like to let the community tell our story of the last year. That said I like the community to chime in below and share something about your experience with the Pay If Forward Community over the past year. No specific topic, just wanting some story sharing to happen here.
As I am in the mode to give away some SBI shares a little bonus will go to some or maybe all of the stories shared below.
BTW, I will update the status of our Goals hopefully tomorrow. We reached the 2 goals that were fully in our control without adding to our leases. Very happy this was achieved!
Wow! This a truly amazing landmark in a community that is ever in flux, changing and growing. It seems caring for and supporting one another is the one constant here and therefore @pifc remains strong.
I encountered @pifc in the early days after being nominated by my friend @fitinfun. It gave purpose to my involvement here and was a real boost to participate.
Congratulations to @thedarkhorse and everyone else who has stayed the course. @pifc will always personify this community for me.
This is the long term goal. Short term there will be minor deviations in the path we take, but all with the end goal of figuring out how to best help and support others. I have a strong belief in the ability of a community of like minded people and their ability to have massive success. Just need to keep giving a platform for amazing people to do amazing things for others.
Love reading this! Know we can't reach everyone with our efforts, but if we can make a difference in a few people's steem journey then we are having success in my mind.
Thank you for you support that you have given to our efforts it's much appreciated!
Happy birthday to us!!! What a year it has been too...in steemit-life and real life! I'm so glad to have played a wee part in this whole thing, and especially glad to still be a part of it all. I mostly remember your story of "shoot, I can't remember her name! The lady you helped in the parking lot" and ever since, this has been the one thing I maintain on steemit, regardless of what's going on in me and Brian's lives at home. Thank you @thedarkhorse and a million others (oh! meeting @wolfhart and combining forces is a huge one :), for keeping an eye out for the little guys, and the unnoticed here on steemit! @wolfhart, @tryskele, @viking-ventures, @trincowski ... the awesome judges ... wouldn't be the same without you guys! and of course all the regulars (if I start naming names, I know I'm gonna miss some), so you know who you are ... a HUGE thank you!!
You have had your share of ups and downs this past year. Your commitment to PIFC has truly been amazing in the face of everything else you have had to deal with. Sincerely thank you for all your have done!
Awww thank you buddy! You're a pretty easy guy to work with 😀
Happy Father's day too!
Happy Anniversary and I'm sure there will be bigger and better things coming up. This is just the beginning.

Happy birthday, @pifc! I was @roleerob's nominee in September. My first impression - suddenly many friendly people left a kind comments on my post mentioning something with a strange name - pifc. Then @roleerob invited me to make my own @pifc-post and take part in the contest. My first attempts to find good posts were not that successful. I almost got a headache and in the end, choose a plagiarised one. Then @trincowski gave me feedback and @cicisaja gave me a hand in choosing another nominee.
So, yes, it's a great community! :D
Happy birthday!
I remember when you were featured and your first entry...trust me you aren't anywhere near the only one to find a plagiarist and feature them...some of those posts are really good they steal...lol. But seriously thanks for the efforts you have made and hope to see you around for more entries in the near future.
It was september? Whooaa... it's more than 9 months ago.. and you're busy with the infant (but now he's a smart stick collector😍) .. time flies and I still remember how busy I was trying to embrace all the participants and have fun through the comments as a part of strategy to win the engagement's league 😂😂😂
Feels like a veteran now😆
I've also found a plagiarist to feature... It's maddening for sure, but seriously, they make fools of all of us from time to time.
In the first two weeks I was participating, two of my featured bloggers got viciously attacked by whales! Thankfully, they've both come back from the dead, so to speak (the attacks were really that vicious) and are still blogging today - one is now a judge for this contest. :)
I've been on Steemit for a year and still don't get this kind of wars. Why would a whale attack such a small account?
Sometimes, people don't know who they're talking to and say something that offends the whale... most would just brush it off, but a couple of them will turn on you and pound you into the ground... I worked with both of these bloggers at the time, encouraging them foremost, but also trying to work out what they did to trigger the attack. Most of the time, if you ignore the whales, they ignore you, but not everyone can let things go like that... You can say what's right, but if they don't like it, they can chew you up.
It's possibly why they decided to remove flagging altogether over at Whaleshares, but that means there's little defense against plagiarists and other abusers... you win some, you lose some...
Thanks for making it more clear to me @viking-ventures!
Happy birthday to @Pifc @thedarkhorse and @wolhart
You all have been consistent and a way to read and Pay back. I cant begin to tell about the special friendships evolved bacause off or through Pifc so i promise to jump in again and do a week 52 entry !
Keep up the good work we need it! And if there is ever need for newbie help we are available !
Look forward to your next entry. With all of the newbies you welcome each week you see a lot of posts to choose from. Know that you are doing many different things and it's great that you are able to find time for PIFC too.
It was my first love on Steemit so that stays
Happy Birthday @pifc 🎉🎉🎊📯
Im so grateful I was once being a regular part of this initiative and I don't know how many new friends I made through this contest, but I can be sure that,
it's pay it forward contest that made me still on steemit and keep growing!
I met so many gorgeous people with amazing love, care, attention, respect and pay it forward attitude. You don't have to be a powerfull one to take care of each other on steemit. I learnt about many strategies to build my account (it can be faster but I don't mind grow it slowly😂) and I stick to my plan until I found something else that distracted me from anything (thanks for understand of my passion on steemmonsters😆)
I like it how you @thedarkhorse tried anything to keep this going and growing. I admire the judges' consistency on doing their job, no matter what real life lead them through. My English wouldn't be improved without all the encouraging words I read from all of ya😍
Thank you everyone who keeps this rolling around steemit😉
Your English is great, never worry about it. Been telling you that for some time. Your heart and passion shows when you post or comment and the grammatical errors just don't matter.
That goes to a level of obsession, not passion...lol. But I am so glad that you are having fun playing the game and that in itself shows the power of steem IMO. There are so many ways to be part of this blockchain that it can appeal to so many different people.
😂😀😃 it's still a passion not obsession😉 because I didn't use any steem and fiat to buy any cards except the starter pack (9 steem only) and I got all the cards for free from playing it.. so.. it's not an obsession😂😂 I like it because it's fun😉
I counted that the posts I made for pifc are more than my posts about steemmonsters too😆 (what a justification😂😂😂)
LOL...nice justification
Learning a language is about practice - and you are certainly doing that! I agree with @thedarkhorse that your English is great! I find that sometimes foreigners use English better than many native speakers, simply because you care to get it right.
I love @pifc!
For those of you who are unaware, I somehow walked into the room (not sure which room, but something I was sharing with @thedarkhorse at the time) - and learned about this contest in its very first week - when I introduced @trincowski to the contest - he's still with us, as you may have noticed.
When @thedarkhorse asked if I could help judge, I was very happy to do so - as long as I could keep posting entries. I entered every week for the first year of the contest. Recently, however, I did stop with the entries due to pressures of life and the blockchains but I am still very happily supporting and judging entries.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part, whether simply being featured and saying "hi" in response, or if you've joined us in Discord... to those who enter more often than not, those who have recently joined in, and (of course), my fellow judges. We are often found chatting away on Monday/Tuesday trying to work out who we are choosing this week. It's a great group of people and I'm proud to be a part of this movement.
Keep Steeming together!
Been fun having you as a Judge. Always enjoy seeing your thought process on the selection process.
Amazing that you have stuck around since day one. Been a fun journey for sure. Here's to another year!
Truly epic I’ve been with you guys since about week 25 or so and it’s been amazing to see this project grow especially in these crappy crypto times! Keep it up and show the blockchain curation can be fun and help bring good authors out of the dArkness

Happy Steemiversary @pifc !
Great to see this project still going strong helping new people find their way on the platform
🎂 Happy birthday @pifc!! 🎂
🌈💥⭐🏆⭐💥🌈
For what the Pay-It-Forward Community means to me @thedarkhorse, I can't say it any more clearly than what I put in my "Annual Highlights" [post](https://steemit.com/blog/@roleerob/update-month-12-annual-highlights-edition) - without some of the associations formed with other Steemians "in here," I almost certainly would __*not*__ have made it to my own "birthday." I and __*many*__ others appreciate your tireless efforts on behalf of the community. And I also greatly appreciate those who have stood by you through "thick and thin" to get to this important milestone. I can imagine what that means to you, as you likely would not have made it this far yourself, without them ... We all hope to live to see the day Steem goes *much* higher ☝ and reaches the 🌙. Of course, we have no way of knowing if or when that will ever happen. If it doesn't, it certainly __*won't*__ be due to any lack of effort or shortcoming on your part ... A "baby" learns to toddle around a little bit by the end of their first year of life. Maybe toddling around pretty steadily even. But they do not learn to *run* until their __*second*__ year ... 😊 All the best to you and the @pifc community for an exciting Year __*Two*__! 👍 --- P.S. I've always loved German chocolate cake for my birthday, so that is what my cake symbol represents ... 😉
