hello steemians..

Hello to our fellow Steemians.. This is my presentation for the first term of the basic course of #patronaje-s22w1 taught under the instruction of teacher @lunasilver.

I really love sewing. But I could not join a pattern making class. But after marriage I have made clothes for my daughter by watching youtube tutorial videos.
But I'm really happy now that I can learn a lot of stitches from scratch by following our teacher @lunasilver's articles.

MATERIALS

🔹️Sheet of paper
🔹️Graphite pencil
🔹️Pen
🔹️Measuring tape
🔹️Rubber
🔹️ Rule

For taking pattern data, my 6 year old daughter was collected as my model. The standard sizes published in the course are written to compare but I use personal sizes for the pattern.

I took my daughter's measurements to use personal sizes for the pattern before using the standard sizes published in the course, but the measurements were very similar to section 10 of the standard size chart, so I thought I'd use those values. But I will add the photos taken at the time of my daughter's measurements below.

  • Chest contour

1000013519.jpg

To measure the bust contour, use the widest part. Always keep the tape parallel to the floor.
Wrap the measuring tape around the body, cover the entire back and chest.
It should be said that the child's chest is flat in this part of the girl and boy.

  • Back width

1000013481.jpg

To measure the width of your back with the help of a measuring tape, place your arms at your sides. Then measure from the back of one armpit to the back of the other armpit across your back. Do not measure under the arms.

  • Waist Length

1000013309.jpg

Measure from the starting point of the neck to the waist.

  • Waist circumference

1000013310.jpg

first find the top of your hip bone and the bottom of your ribcage.
Then breathe normally.
Place the tape midway between these points, in line with your belly button.
Then wrap the tape around your waist loosely enough to fit one finger inside.
And the tape should be tight but not too tight and should be parallel to the floor.

  • Hip circumference

1000013483.jpg

To measure your hip circumference, stand up straight with your feet together. Then wrap the measuring tape around the entirety of your butt.Make sure the tape is not too tight.
You should be able to easily fit your little finger under the tape and then take the measurement.

  • Shoulder drop

1000013484.jpg

To measure your shoulder drop, place the measuring tape at the base of the neck and measure up to the tip of the shoulder.

Step 01

Now that the measurements required for the basic pattern of the children's dress have been established.

1000013500.jpg

  • First we start by drawing a rectangle. Mark A, B, C, D with 1/4 of chest circumference.
    (68cm /4 = 17cm) and waist length of 40 cm.

  • Point 1: We start from point A towards point B, marking 1/2 of the back width **
    (30cm /2 = 15 cm)

1000013501.jpg

Step 02

1000013502.jpg

  • Point 2: From where point 1 is marked, we reduce the shoulder drop by 3.2 cm.

1000013346.jpg

  • Point 3: From the place where the 2nd point is marked to the hall we should mark 1/2 of the width of the back. (30 cm /2 = 15 cm) that is 15 cm.

1000013504.jpg

  • Point 4: From A to B we need to take 1/6 of the back width. (30 cm/ 6 = 5 cm) that's 5 cm.

  • Point 5: From point A downwards i.e. back towards point D we leave 1.5 cm to get the collar.

  • Point 5: From point A down towards point D, we leave 1.5 cm to get the collar for the back and decrease the width of the back by 1/6 cm for the front. (30 cm /6 = 5 cm) and
    (5 cm +2 cm =7 cm)

1000013505.jpg

  • Point 6: From D to C across we add 1/4 of waist circumference + cm. 2 should be marked.
    (72 cm / 4+ 2 = 20 cm)

Now the work is almost done here, now we start connecting each marker point from this section.

Step 03

1000013506.jpg

  • We connect the 4th point with the 5th point by a half curve.

1000013507.jpg

  • Then we have to connect the 2nd point with the 4th point with a straight line and also connect the 2nd point with the 3rd point with a straight line.

1000013508.jpg

  • At point 6, draw a straight line to the side of the chest line.

1000013511.jpg

  • Then to get a side. Measure the 3rd point along the bust line. Then measure the area and connect the straight line between point 2 and point 3. Then you need to measure 1.5 cm to add points until you get a curve. That way we can get our armholes.

THANK YOU..

It was a pleasure to share this new experience with you and I would also like to invite @kyrie1234 @sohanurrahman and @dirapa , to participate in this contest.

Sort:

Hola amiga que alegría que hayas realizado este patrón, pero creo que los trazos te quedaron al revés, la parte delantera debe tener el cuello más bajo que la parte trasera, para que la camisa que le hagas a la niña quede bien.

thank you very much for information.. I mistakenly changed those two letters. I will correct it.😊
