Assalamu'alaikum everyone.
Through this "Steemit Learning Challenge Season 21" with our sixth class, ''SLC21-W6 // Flan'', we all had a vast knowledge about preparing everyone’s favorite dessert flan. From our honorable teachers @dasudi and @lirvic mam, I got knowledge about preparing dessert items. They thoroughly discuss, showing every process of making it and endly give us a home task to make us experienced chefs day by day. From my personal experience, I can share that before participating in this course I never tried any dessert item or experienced any tough item which was new for me. But by participating here I get out of my fear and build my confidence to take any cooking challenge.

I have learned the process of making flan from this course and applied it to do it keeping my personal touch in it. Without any further ado allow me to share my first-time experience of the recipe for flan.

🍮 Step - 1 🍮

In the beginning, I put a nonstick pan on the stove and put one liter of milk into it. After boiling the milk for a few minutes I put the condensed milk into it.

I mixed the condensed milk with the milk with a spoon and keep stiring it.

Around half an hour, the milk into half a liter. Then I keep it down from the stove and keep it aside to cool it to room temperature.

In a bowl, I broke the eggs which are at normal room temperature. I gradually all those and whisked all the eggs very well.

I wishkered all the eggs so well also keep aware no foam appeared in time of whiskering.

After whisking the eggs I put the vanilla essence in it to remove the eggs stinky smell from it.

When the prepared milk came to room temperature then I added the whiskered eggs into it and mixed it very well.

In this step, I put a pan on the stove and put water in it.

After boiling the water properly I put four tablespoons of sugar in it.

After a few mints the colour of the caramel became light yellow and I kept it down for a while.

Slowly, the color became dark brown, and then I immediately put it down on the stove.

Into a steel bowl, I put the caramal into it.

Then, I moved it around so that the caramel spread around the whole bowl.

Upon the steel bowl, I put a big strainer. Hereafter, I put the milk which I kept aside. I strained the milk so that no lumps went upon the final preparation.

I put a nonstick pan upon the stove. Upon it put a steel coaster into it. Then put the bowl of caramelized pot on it.

I put a lead upon the caramelized pot and around it put some hot water. After that, I put a lid on the nonstick pan. I put the steel coaster so that the heat will directly affect the flan and getting the stem will make in perfect. I put the stove on medium flame.

Around 45 minutes later, I opened the lid for checking whether the flan was cooked well or not. With a toothpick, I checked it. I lightly put the toothpick into it and checked it. The toothpick came out so cleanly, and there was nothing around the tooth pick then I understood that my flan was well cooked. Then I put down the steel bowl from the pan and kept it to be cooled at room temperature.

Around thirty minutes, when it cools properly, I put it into the refrigerator.

After two hours, I put it down from the refrigerator. With a knife I cut the edges of the flan.

Then, I put a plate on the stainless flan container.

Very carefully I flipped the flan upon the plate. After removing the pot the final look I saw and Alhamdulliah the texture of the flan was my expectation. The caramel was spread around the plate, which looked so appealing. I served it this way on the dining table.

I cut the flan into small pieces and served it to my family, and they loved the taste of it. They always asked to make it again the next.
Include a handwritten identification sign, next to the flan, containing the user name and date .

✓ Did you have any difficulties in making your flan?
As I said it is my first time attempting to make this flan so I was a little nervous about the final result of it. I was also anxious about the taste of it. In fact, before testing the inner portion with a toothpick whether it is well cooked or not, my heart is fasting first. Though I learned this whole process through the course, there is a difference between learning and doing it physically. Finally, I succeeded and the taste of the flan was appealing.

All my experienced Steemians are participating here and I also dare to show my small effort of preparing flan. Doing this course physically I can share some of my personal tips with you –
In time for making caramel, we should be concerned about the measurement of sugar and water. If the water is used more, then it becomes liquid, or if the sugar is used, then the caramel will be so sticky. This is my first attempt at making it so sticky then I that again tried with proper measurement of using the ingredients in medium flame and it became perfect.
Flan has to bake on a lower flame. Cooking it on high flame can be burnt and the inner portion will not be cooked well.

3.Before flipping it to another plate we have to cut smoothy the edges of the flan so that it will release smoothy from the pot.

Your post is amazing! The flan recipe is explained step by step so beautifully that any reader can follow it and make it easily. I applaud your hard work and creativity.
The flan-making tips in particular are very useful and seem to come from experience. Tips like sugar and water measurements and cooking the flan on low heat are really important when making caramel. As wonderful as your flan looked, the family's love and appreciation was well deserved.
