SLC21-W6 // Flan
I hope you all are good and doing well. Today I'm here to be a part of this amazing course task "SLC21-W6 // Flan". I'm exciting to make flan first time at home by using the given procedure. I have made flan many time but from ready ingredients. That flan made with in 5-8 min ,by adding powdered ingredients in hot milk. I like flan but my kids don't. So today's dessert is for me .
Let's move towards the task .
No, I didn't prepare flan by using these ingredients, I tried flan many times by using instant pack of flan from market. In our market caramel flan, pistachios flan , cashew flan and strawberry flavour are available in instant pack.
Today I'm preparing first time flan from these simple ingredients, I'm happy that these all ingredients are at home and i can make them easily. Process of making is very simple and given step by step with tips ,so it would be fun to learn this.
I'm following the recipe given in lecture as I'm making it first time.

195gr of condensed milk |
200 ml of milk |
1 tablespoon vanilla |

- Take sugar in bowl (mould) and start melting it over very low flame. In few minutes sugar caramelised, it should be done very carefully that sugar should not be burn.
When sugar caramelised, spread it at the whole bottom of mould and keep it a side to cool down.
- Add all ingredients one by one in blender and blend it.
- Take a big pan ,add water to it and start heating, wecook this flan mixture at double boiler. Now cook it for 45 minutes over double boiler.
No ,I didn't face any difficulties in making flan . All prepration steps are given given in task , I follow them and my flan was prepared perfectly. It was more yummy than instant pack flan and more convenient as all ingredients are at home. I will surely make flan by following the given recipe.
As i tried it first time but result are amazing because I follow the direction given in task, so I think most important tip is follow the instructions, accurate measurement of ingredients, during cooking at double boiler take care water level should not be down, it will destroy your flan. Caramelised the sugar at low flame, if you cook more sugar will burn and waste your dessert.
I like to share this flan with my friend @sualeha. She's my best friend and she likes flan ,her family too. I would like to invite her at high tea so we could spend quality time together with delicious flan .
