Safe password - how to do it right.steemCreated with Sketch.

Hello STEEM world!

My first post is going to be about password safety, because I got a very long generated jibberish as password when i signed in to STEEMIT.

Why? The page says that "rememberable passwords are not safe". That is simply not true. Passwords are only good, when you can use them, so you should be able to have a reliable access to their safe storage. Best place to this is in your head. Using password manager (accessible with rememberable password of course, otherwise you could not use it) or an encrypted text file relies on working hard drive of your computer. Shall I store my password database on a cloud to be sure I do not loose it? Really? Or should I store it on a flash drive and take care of frequent synchronization manually? That does not make sense.

Safety of password is given predominantly by its lenght and the fact, that it is not present in any dictionary. One of the safest passwords is this:
password_that_i_cant_remember_is_useless_is_it_clear_now?

This asrticle sums it up nicely:

Thank you for your attention and remember: Safety first!
