Researching the history of journalism
Okay the Sunday is almost over. Have finished David Mindich, “Just The Facts” (1998), a phenomenal book on the history of objectivity in journalism.
The evening is ebbing but there’s still time left. Starting “A History of News” by Mitchell Stephens, (1988)

Okay. 1st half mostly superfluous; although the “Man Bites Dog” chapter (p132) has value, reminiscent of Buzzfeed and Vice.
2nd half is stupendous, describing the press and its history in detail.
