Vintage Vibes
Vintage film camera (Canon AE-1) that I finally restored! A gift from a family friend (broken filter and just needed some loveeee) and this $7 summer dress from Goodwill (with tags on) is the tone for my summer! Thrift shopping to me is like a sport because you actively dig and re visit thrift stores to find pieces. Let’s be real.. more like...A TREASURE HUNT!!
Being back on a full time work schedule has been amazing and while certain things take a back burner- like having time to update here properly!!!! Many other things are in full swing liikkkkeee...
Barbara-Anne is days from completion! AHHHHHH!!!
We were just approved for the rights to do a cover for Barbara Ann by the Beach Boys that serves as a selected cheeky wink in the film and then TIFF deadline is June 14th! A lot of the work being done is by the Director Kat and her post team who are working for free and with full force. It’s a funny part of the process where I am reminded of all the heavy lifting other people take on while I’m working on other things. Truly a team effort, truly an awesome movie I am SO PROUD of. Can’t wait for you all to seeeeee
Being back at The Stratford Festival is a dream- Never Ending Story is in Previews which means we have audiences but are still rehearsing and I start rehearsals for My big role in The Crucible beginning of June. Staggered rehearsals are weird and wonderful. Time to focus on one show at a time but also hard to find any routine or rhythm. So you have to stay open and available and enjoy the ride (just like lifeeee am I right?!)
I did a new stand up set a few weeks ago that was ambitious and tuckered me out but it was a great writing challenge. 1 week to develop 5 minutes of new material to perform. INSANE! Considering my first 5 minutes of material too me 6 weeks to develop WITH AN INSTRUCTOR. But it was awesome
Willow got a Lion shave, I got an oil change and trying to grow the rest of the blonde out of my hair plus the glimpses of summer are finally hitting Toronto. Ch-ch-ch-changes and lots of fun to be had.
