Just a quick note to inform my friends that there is a hard fork coming soon. This will change how rewards and curations is distributed. You could learn more about the debate and discussion at post by @streetstyle
The main change is the reward to author will be reduced to 50% from 75%, curator’s reward will be increased from 25%to 50%. So, each post the
writer or author will get only 50%. The fear is good authors will stop writing. But the argument is that higher reward will make people upvote more posts. There are no conclusions yet, people are still uncertain about the impact on Steemit community. Some says the whales will get more from their power of upvoting! Wait and see! The change is coming.
เพื่อนๆอาจไม่รู้ว่า กำลังจะมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงการให้รางวัล โดยคนเขียนโพสต์จะได้รับรางวัลลดลงจาก 75% ลงมาเป็น50%. ส่วนคนที่ให้โหวต จะได้รับส่วนแบ่งมากขึ้นจาก 25% เป็น 50%. แรกเริ่มสัดส่วนระหว่างผู้เขียนโพสต์ กับคนโหวต คือ 75:25 แบบใหม่คือ 50:50 ตอนนี้มีคนเริ่มถกเถียงกันถึงผลกระทบต่อคนเขียนโพสต์ บางคนคิดว่าคุณภาพจะแย่ลง และหลายคนจะเลิกเขียน ส่วนบางคนก็คิดว่าเป็นการดึงดูดให้คนมาโหวตมากขึ้น เพราะได้รางวัลเพิ่ม ขณะนี้ยังไม่มีข้อสรุป มีแต่คนถกเถียงกันในโพสต์ของ @streetstyle. ตามลิ้งค์ข้างบน. การเปลี่ยนแปลงมาแน่นอน แต่ผลจะเป็นอย่างไรต้องคอยติดตามต่อไป

It will be interesting to see how it goes. I have mixed feelings about it. What do you think?
Some people will win, some will lose. People who have strong SP will be very happy! Those small minnows will finally give up. Quality posts will reduce as it is more profitable to go upvoting!
Special voting groups or clans are the way to maintain income and survival. There will be less people posting so less people upvoting! Tribal culture has to be installed for survival!
All the whales or dolphins will become very tight!
Small fish will have to find alliance!
Confusions will reign on the first few weeks as the income fluctuates wildly!
Just my conjecture!
Sometimes I doubt the merit of the decisions made. Steem is just a hobby for many.
I saw some people bought Steem when it was very low so that they became dolphins overnight! These are serious investors looking for returns.
How could this become a win-win solution just escape me! People will always look for best ways to get maximum returns on their money.

Owning 5x more of any crypto that doesn't interact with the rest of the universe is meaningless. So that explains what I think of this hardfork. Its frustrating when valuable assets such as Jerry Banfield (even though some of his views were ahead of their time) are driven away. Everyone makes mistakes. But what I haven't done is overcommit my emotional energy into Steem although I think its still probably the best blockchain interactive community. I would like to see Steem doing more to compete vs the large social media companies.

แต่เขาบอกว่า นี่จะทำให้พวก whales ต้องไปupvote โพสต์ต่างๆ มากขึ้นเพื่อเพื่มรายได้ เขาจะได้ผลตอบแทนสูงมากถ้าเขาไปโหวต ให้โพสต์ที่ไม่ค่อยมีคนให้คะแนน ส่วนแบ่งตัวตัวหารน้อยลง ปัญหาหนึ่งคือคนที่มีกำลังมากไม่ยอมไปโหวต เขาก็เลยมาล่อ แต่ไม่รู้ว่าจะได้ผลหรือเปล่า

ปลาตัวเล็กต้องเกาะกลุ่มเพื่อนมากขึ้น เพื่อช่วยกันเองด้วย คิดว่าต้องมีอย่างน้อยสองโพสต์ต่อวัน แล้วลองดูว่ารายได้จากการโหวตดีขึ้นหรือ เหมือนเดิม
ตอนนี้มีบางคนไม่ยอมเพิ่มกำลัง ในขณะที่สตีมราคาต่ำมาก คิดว่าเขาคงไม่รู้ว่ากำลังขาดทุนอย่างแรง. และเขาไม่คิดเอาสตีมที่มีมากมายไปลงทุนใน Bitcoin ตอนที่ราคาต่ำ ถ้าเขาทำเป็น ตอนนี้ขายทำกำไรได้ไปไม่ต่ำกว่า แสนบาทแล้ว น่าเสียดายที่คิดเรื่องการลงทุนไม่เป็น แล้วเอา Bitcoin บางส่วนซื้อ สตีมกลับมาใส่บัญชี เขาก็กลายเป็นปลาโลมากินการอัปโหวตสบายๆ
น่าเสียดายเป็นอย่างยิ่ง น่าจะมีเงินเหลือซื้อทองแท่งด้วย!

I hope so too! But at the moment there are two new App to compete with Steemit. We shall see what will happen.
Today I just Power-up. 1SBD gives me 2.32 Steem Power! 10 SBDs gives me 23.32 SP. this is the best price I could get! Also I bought half of one Litecoin, this is going to the moon next month. You should get one Litecoin as an investment!

Yes! People are very ambivalent on this matter! It could go either way. Often unintended consequences could appear out of the blue! Big fish might power down and move to EOS app.!

Yes that could be true, I was doing some reading but as of yet I have not seen a good reason for this change
More changes again well this will certainly make a lot more smaller fish walk away and the quality authors like you said :)
Let’s hope those whales would upvote small Minnows more often to keep them in the game!
I hope if things turned out much worse, they would have the courage to do a U turn!

The sad part is no one really knows how it is going to go. Judging from the past, I am not too confident.
I think most new comers and minnows don’t really know about HF nor the impact that will have in general.
Some will definitely be put off as they don’t have enough SP for upvoting others.
