Nasdaq Exchange Listed Bitcoin And Ethereum Indices On 25 Feb 2019

The US Nasdaq stock exchange launched the Bitcoin Liquid Index (BLX) and the Ethereum Liquid Index (ELX) on 25 Feb 2019 to provide traders access to real-time price information based on data from multiple exchanges, News.bitcoin reported.

According to News.bitcoin, the indices- developed by market data firm Brave New Coin- will be updated every 30 seconds.

The chief executive officer of Brave New Coin, Fran Strajnar said:

"The crypto derivative wave is inevitable... there’s going to be a rush to produce all manner of financial instruments, which the institutional users have been asking for, for almost 3 years now."
