My music collection (update)

this post is an update of the music in physical formats that I'm collecting every now and then and presenting the items here. My last post regarding my collection was about seven months ago and since then I have some new items added, so let me give you an idea of what's new.

I'll start with a double vinyl record album I was happy to order when I saw it would be pressed for the second time due to the demand of the fans.

The band are Clouds and this is their debut album Doliu. Like it's first press being a limited edition, so is this one too, with the difference that in this edition the records are green/black splatter in colour.

I already own a cd version of this album, a special edition produced by the band themselves and kept in a handmade digipak. Next album to present is from Insomnium and their latest album released in October Heart Like A Grave.

Following the band in the social media, they posted first a limited numbered silver 2LP + CD version but at that time I couldn't afford buying it so I went for this version here which is a limited deluxe edition artbook containing two cds, one being the album and the second including two bonus tracks and the book illustrates photographs of Finnish landscapes along with liner notes of each song and the songs lyrics.

Next album is by a duo who have formed the band Moon Dweller and their debut album Meridian.

I had discovered this band and album in my FB feed and I checked it out, then downloaded the album and liked it. After a year I intended to buy and add it to my collection. So I contacted the guys who have self produced it and are handling their merch on their own to place my order.

The album was mailed to me after a month or so since Bianca who's one of the two band members apologized to me for the delay due to health issues, but I was patient enough to not make additional problems for her and she included three band patches for free in my order as a thank you which was really cool.

Next album is by Sear Bliss and their latest album so far Letters from the Edge.

I had downloaded the album and I was immediately drawn to it, so for me it was a must to get a physical item of the album. In their live performance they also had a merch stand but I couldn't afford the vinyl record they were providing, so I ordered this cd version from their label.

Moving on we have Omnium Gatherum here and their latest album The Burning Cold.

I again attended their live performance over here a couple of months ago, being their first appearance in Greece. I recorded two videos from that live performance, you can check them out below

Both of the songs I recorded belong to the album presented here as can be seen at the back of the digipak. Very good band with good energy and a great frontman who like the whole band didn't seem to mind the low number of people gathered to see them live. They performed well and we really enjoyed seeing them.

The next album is byWolfheart and their debut album Winterborn.

I've already added to my collection their next two albums and missing their latest so far which sadly hasn't attracted me the way their first three have.

One thing that surprised me is when I saw in the social media following the ex-bassist of Greek giants Rotting Christ that he was selected to replace their lead guitarist for live appearances that were scheduled and from I have read that tour went well.

Reaching towards the end, next album is by Gallowbraid and it's called Ashen Eidolon.

This album was originally released in 2010 and due to popular demand it has been re-released also including in the new release a track that in the initial release only the vinyl version included, now being also included in the CD version too.

I got in touch with the album through the internet of course, I downloaded and goes without saying I liked it. I intended to buy it and so I ordered it from a local metal only independent retailer over here.

Last album for this post we meet a new band Aeonian Sorrow and their debut album Into The Eternity A Moment We Are.

This band has been formed by a Greek vocalist and graphic designer artist Gogo Melone. I remember I got to know about her from another band, now that band inactive or probably disbanded. I somehow found out about the forming of this band, so I started following her in the social media. When they released their first single from the then upcoming album, I listened to it and then waited for the entire album to get released and listen to it to form a complete idea. When it did come out I downloaded it and listened to it a few times. It was a lot better than listening to just one song, I liked it and after quite some time I was finally ready to order it.

The album took this time about a month to arrive to me but as I said, I can be quite patient and it finally arrived to my delight. She has also collacorated with Clouds mentioned above in the very beginning with vocals and what's left for now is to make a live appearance with her band over here.

That's that for now, I still have a few other things to present, but I'll leave them for another separate post sometime soon.
