Small Time Operator - Partiko! What is That?
One of the very first Steemians to reach out and welcome me was @oadissin. He spoke of a mobile app, called Partiko. But, I didn’t know @oadissin, and I had never heard of Partiko.
After all the warnings I had read about not sharing your keys, and all the onboarding information about security, I felt like caution was prudent at this juncture!
Do you remember Dana Carvey doing his George W. H. Bush impersonation?
So, I put the Partiko suggestion in the back of my mind while my tiny self explored Steemit, a brand new, wide-eyed Plankton, floating in the massive Steem ocean.
As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, I have already followed @benedict08 over to the Plankton community, and it was the best thing that could have happened to me!
I am pretty observant and noticed several Steemians were using Partiko, and @benedict08 was one of them! From what I saw he used Partiko consistently. I trusted @benedict08 because he had not led me astray. If he was a regular Partiko user, I thought it had to be safe!
I took the plunge! And I’m so glad I did!
Not only is Partiko convenient, allowing me to vote and comment, using my phone while I’m on the go; I have been earning Partiko points for doing something I already want to do anyway!
• 5 points for every vote
• 10 points for each comment
I’m pretty old school, preferring to use my keyboard to compose my posts, but Partiko rewards 30 points for original posts. By the time you read this, I will have made my first Partiko post and earned those points too!
At the same time, I am cashing in my accumulated points in exchange for Steem. @crypto.talk has set it up so that you can redeem your points to get an upvote from Partiko. The more points you have the higher weight your Partiko upvote will be!
So that makes me a happy little Plankton, swimming around with my new Steemian friends and nibbling on Partiko!
In my next Small Time Operator post I will share some more great Steemian communities I have learned about. There are so many!

Welcome to the #PowerHouseCreatives! I use partiko not so much for posts, but for votes and comments. I use @steempress, a Wordpress plug-in for long posts (using my keyboard) and @share2steem for shorter posts with happy snaps. Great interfaces and great rewards

at the same time 2 freewriters told me about partiko and I immediately installed it. I am on only mobile user with a very slow connection and this is the only dapp that works. It loafs slow too but I can post. 👍🏻

Honestly, I think some of the latest Steemit changes have caused a few glitches with Partiko, but not really sure. At least you can post!

I had to delete the app and installed it new. I think it works better now although the videos are no longer shown.

You are right I just bumped into some problems.
If I visit an account I can only see 8 posts.
If I use a link to visit a certain post this is what happens:
If I use steemit.com to search for a steemian and I click on the name it loads but as soon as I try to reply it goes back to Google.
I need to think and figure out how to post an answer.

Yes, if you click on a link it goes out of Partiko and tales you to Steemit.com. To reply, you have to stay in Partiko and use the little reply icon just under their comment, or at the very bottom (left)of phone screen to make a comment to original post. That is not a bug. Just the way it works for the mobile app.

Sorry, that is not true.
Before as I used a link of someone or if a searched for a person via steemit.com I could read the post there, comment and upvote there too.
Explain to me please how I can comment if I am redirected via a post's link to only read at partiko website or steemit.com how I should comment?
I am not able to/allowed to do so and I can not find that post via the partiko app! That is the problem.
If I can not find it via the app I can never reply on it.
I use this app since months for hours a day what happened never happened before.

Oh sorry! I misunderstood! I heard the Partiko main developer/troubleshooter had to go to China, and it would appear he needs help keeping things running smoothly ! Sorry you’re having problems!

Seems as if all developers need help. Heard to partiko would stop (not on discord, answering questions) so I need to find something else that works for me.

Yah partiko is pretty great for on the go stuff. If I am waiting around for a meeting or the kids, I just jump on the phone and do some curating and supporting and replying. I love it.
Lately, I have found that there are no adds to watch for free points. Happening to anyone else? Do I need to delete and reinstall the app?

I’ve seen a couple of similar comments in their discord server. But have not checked back in to see if anyone answered. I have a feeling they may be overwhelmed with things to do!
