Paris Travel Tips
Finally touching down in Paris was a dream come true. I did all my pre-travel research on what I wanted to see, eat and do, as I’m sure you will do too. Here are a few travel tips that may help you to enjoy your French getaway.
*Going through Customs and Immigration took a bit longer than expected. I would advise using the bathroom once you get off the plane and before you head into Customs and Immigration. You might also want to check that you have water or a snack available. The wait can be long so be prepared.
*Booking tickets online for attractions was so helpful. It may mean you have to really plan out your days, as tickets are purchased for certain times of a specific day usually.
*At the Louvre, if you have purchased a ticket in advance, you don’t need to queue in line at the Pyramid entrance. Unfortunately, we saw a few people with tickets follow the herd into the queuing line. Check to make sure you are at the right place.
*Versailles is awesome but huge. Walking shoes are a must. We arrived about forty-five minutes before opening and were probably 100th in line. Ten minutes later tour buses began arriving and there were probably 500 people in line when it opened. Go early!
