Parenting in the 80s and 90s were easier compared to now because then, there were still some level of values and morality in the world. The internet and phones have not taken over and kids have very little external influence then, so they listen to their parents more when compared to kids of this age. Then parents had little things competing for the attention of their kids and life then was much easier. Parenting now is a great task that should be done with utmost care because the cost of failing as a parent now is very much higher when compared with the 80s and 90s
I would suggest, very strongly, that values and morality are still very much alive and present in the world. Yes, there are new tools that we have to learn to navigate but parenting now is (in a lot of ways) better than it was.
Really! from my own personal observation and the level of respect and morality then, parenting then was far better than parenting now. Most parent hardly have time for their kids now when compared to the 80s and 90s. Just my personal observation
I guess it just depends on what you're looking for.
