There are a few things that we can do to pass this phase without much problem.
If you are a parent of an active child, you will know how hard it is to make children stay put in one place for an hour or so. So, imagine making them stay indoors for weeks together.
The first step would be to stop whining yourself and not making the children feel that the situation is bad or beyond control.
Now for the tips
Make sure that the children are given activities to do - do not encourage them to sleep for hours on end as it will make them lethargic
Ask the children to help out in cooking and doing small chores like folding the clothes, making the bed and so on
Help the children to study their textbooks in any way you can and this will also help them not lose out on grades when schools reopen
The children can be given the opportunity to discover their hidden talents and hobbies because they are not restricted by time schedules or classes - for instance, they can color books, write short stories or do crafts and the like

Making hand made toys is a delightful activity both for children and their parents/guardians. So, please do look at the websites that provide step by step instructions to make such toys and if you like, donate the toys to children who cannot afford toys.
Busy children are not trouble - so keep them busy doing things they like and you can also spend quality time with them
