I don't really see much advice being given here, other than "Be more aware of the experiences you deny your child, they could help build something in them that you cannot teach them"
I think you're a great example of falling into extreme. Do not go to extremes. I don't wont to send children alone in the woods for a week without food. I write that I meet teenagers who can't cut off a piece of bread.
