How much will your baby be like you?

Once I become new father in Aug 2013, my wife and I became obsessed with whom our baby would resemble. Like many babies, our daughter was born with little black eyes, slightly curly hair, wide lips and white skin. Her new born weight was 3.25kg, slightly above a normal female baby. Most my siblings said, she looked like he belonged to another couple. When I hold her up to my shoulder and I found out that she has my chin and Grandma's eyes, but I don't know how those features may change.

Which parent does your child look like?

When she was 3 years old, her face could be a clone of mine as a kid. Once she smiled naturally and turned to me, I felt I am in heaven. She was so tender and mild even though I always talked very loud. Even though her skin colour is different from me, I had a strong sense of belongings. She is my lovely girl, my sweet heart.

Physical development between new born to 3 years old

What else should I care for other than her look?

(Berk, 2013, p. 176-177) The child (new born to aged 3) has a great change in appearance and growth. But there's slowdown in growth rate began from preschool years (ages 3-6). At aged 3, the average child is 14 kg (weight) and 94cm (height), so Grace is just fit the average weight and slightly above the average height.

Berk (2012, p. 408) wrote milestones for 3-4 years children in motor development.
(1) May no longer need a daytime nap.
(2) Running, jumping, hopping, throwing, and catching become more refined, with flexible upper body
(3) Galloping and one foot skipping appear.
(4) Pedals and steers tricycle.
(5) Uses scissors.
(6) Uses fork adeptly.
(7) Draw first picture of a person, using tadpole image.
(8) Distinguishes writing and nonwriting.

In my previous vlogs, I have displayed a checklist and photos on her physical development. Grace loves outdoor activities like running, jumping, hopping and cycling. She can use folk during meal times and likes drawing and colouring. Overall, she is active and physically strong.

To be continued…

You have a beautiful daughter @calebchang. When did she start to talk and how many words at what age?

I am always glad to met people on steemit who are married as my blog is especially for married people. I do regular Love & Marriage blogs. The best thing you can do for your little one is to stay in love with her mommy! Blessings!

She said single word 'dad', 'mom' when she was 1 year old.
