The proudest guy in the whole wild world
Good morning, afternoon or evening Steemians
I like to think that i rarely brag about things regarding myself, but often others. This Is a mix of both.
We've decided to not lend our daughter to social media and so thats likely the only photo of her i'll post.
I shared a photo of her and my wife with a coworker this evening and this feeling of pride and joy (stevie ray) overtook me and so now i must inflict the same on the readers here.
June 29th, 13:00. 3 kg, 48 cms: little Edith L.F. aka: Minielf
Think i ought to register her for the steemit handle before usernames become a serious commodity.
This information seems important to state:
there is now officially one more photo of Minielf on steemit than on facebox. Not to say we didn't send a couple to people through their messenger, but with strict guidelines that they must not be posted on a potential public feed.
I'm awfully close to being rid of fb for good, and cannot wait: a shout out to my buddy @nateonsteemit for doing the same thing and encouraging all of us to do the same.
A lot of the choices we are making for our little one is to say that we will let her make her own choice on some of the social 'norms' such as vaccines and social media. Flame away, i've got a response to whatever you've got in store for me.
I have a gazillion more things to write, but will keep this post to pride.
My darling wife has chronic pain. Ehlers danlos syndrom. I'd like to punch eds in the throat.
Being pregnant really was hard on her pain levels. Labour was intense (i know it is for everyone, but much more for people who don't produce cologen).
She handled it like a champ, i was and am so very proud of her. I will share more on our experience in later posts.
Okay, one more. They're both so freeking beautiful. Before meeting my lovely wife @elfmyselfandi i had never experienced such love, until now. It's multiplied.
TO BE CONTINUED...
I just finished work and will get cleaned up and return to my beauties at the hospital.
Go ahead, upvote this. It will encourage this prideful beast.
And like always, question and chat away. I encourage it. I covet it.
All for no, cheers big ears.
Congratulations to you and @elfmyselfandi, I was just thinking of elf today, how serendipitous that I saw this post. Your wife is radiant, your daughter is beautiful! Be a proud papa and yes let that little one make all of her choices herself. Sending lots of good vibes to your beautiful family! -The Renegades
Thanks a bunch you guys! Everyone is getting feeling real good, and the little one is doing fantastic! We were just explaining to the nurse the other day about how she can make (these) choices when she gets older. It seemed crazy toe hearing it years back, now my view is soo very much adapted.
Yes, I am intimately familiar with the evolution of perspective. As for refusing medical procedures, we refused so many when our twins were born that we had to sign waivers at the hospital. We had done our research though and were (and still are) confident in our decision. Our babies were small (5lb 5oz & 5lb 9oz), and had tongue ties among a few other struggles and at one year old they are beautiful and thriving. They are so smart and active and haven't had more than the sniffles. I trust you have done your research too and by the looks of it you both live very healthy lifestyles. I think your baby girl is in capable hands! Much love -Aimee
Thanks again @canadianrenegade would love to get together and share stories/research some time! We definitely will do our best to provide the best for Minielf!
That sounds great. We would love to connect with some like-minded steemians one day. Until then, enjoy that beautiful baby and shower the elves in love. -Aimee
Brooooock!!!!!
Dude, yes! Great job you guys! Especially @elfmyselfandi. Enjoy her, man. Seeing your wife make something like that shows a man a whole new world of love and appreciation.
I'm so happy for you guys :)
Yeah bud, you nailed it! I suspect she will be steemin it up again shortly. We're both infatuated with minielf, bit i have more time due to my lack of dairy skills.
Our policy was "mom's got noms, daddy's got diapers."
Haha totally. Its all still a bit overwhelming some of the stuff, but so far the diaper bit hasn't been a struggle thankfully.
Overwhelming lol
Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it. After the third one.
For real though, a routine is best. Use a notebook for keeping track of poops, pees, and foods. You'll be to tired to remember it all. And sleep when you can. It's awesome what a few 20 minute naps can do for your life when you have a new baby.
