Few would say parenting is easy, but like everything else, there are skills you can develop that will make it easier for you. It is very easy to think that you are making solid parenting decisions when things are going really well. As a parent, one of the most important jobs you have towards your children is to set a good example for them to follow. It's much easier to tell kids to do or not to do something than to be a good role model, but it's what they really need more than anything else. It is easier for children to learn by observing others than it is for them to learn just by saying things to them, so it is very important that you always match your words and actions.

There is an exceptionally old saying about moms with eyes in the back of their heads. So to speak, it's something akin to a psychic ability, or perhaps what many people consider to be an instinct.

Whether you are referring to a mother or a father, recognizing your children is something every guardian will do, just to make sure they are doing what they need to do. But you don't want to create the feeling that your home is a state of surveillance - you have to use common sense.
