The Midnight Daddy part 2

Have you ever seen that film, Planes Trains and Automobiles? You know the scene where John Candy and Steve Martin look at the bed awkwardly - knowing that they have to share the bed. Well that's an example of social awkwardness that reminded me of what happened at the weekend. We had a few friends over - and the baby monitor was on. During the meeting one of the attendees said - is that a dog? UH OH! And lo and behold it was the little guy - whimpering for a feed.

What's funny about experiences like that are that you feel a sudden feeling of protective love for your child which is instinctive and deep seated within you.

I'm just having one of those elated-deflated moments when you are ready for bed...but then you realise you still have to make the bottles yet.
