The Haunted Kennebunk Inn - Kennebunk, ME

Kennebunk-Inn

The original building here was built as a residence in 1799 by Phineas Cole and later expanded to 22 rooms. The inn has been remodeled to have a more updated style while respecting the historic architecture.

In 1928 the residence was sold and was turned into a hotel. It was again expanded and became the Kennebunk Inn in the 1940s. After some renovations in the 1980's, ghostly activity began to manifest. Moving and flying crystal goblets, exploding wineglasses behind the bar, disarrayed silverware, and moving chairs are commonplace events here. Owners believe their uninvited guest is Silas Perkins, a former owner who died in the 18th century. Some say he doesn't like the renovations to his hotel.

Another spirit is said to be a former clerk at the hotel. He was very devoted to the hotel and spent most of his time there. After he passed away, employees say they could sometimes see him roaming the halls or hanging out in his former office.

Care to stay the night? Kennebunk is 11 miles south of Biddeford on U.S. Highway 1, in the southwest corner of Maine. Learn more about Kennebunk Inn by visiting its website.

This post is from one of my blogs: http://realhauntedhotels.info/. I just thought I would clear that up, because cheetah has commented saying my posts are similar to content found on the web. Indeed this is true, as I have re-posted an article from my blog; as I have clearly stated above. Enjoy!
