This was a quick little flight compared to most at Blossom. But I needed to get a flight in before the weather came through.
The weather report was dismal.
I was late to expect anything really great.
Ryan Bloum and his brother along with Oldman potter and nik were on the ridge right away.
This is not a ridge with much room.
So if you have more than 4 gliders it feels like its packed.
We all kind of struggled to stay up because the thermals had turned off.
I noticed that Ryan, who is an excellent pilot, landed. His truck is on the launch so landing at the bottom is not an option.
If I wasn't in it for the workout, I might have just made a b-line for the bailout, but I figured I would work it all out.
After Ryan landed, I considered landing but kept flying.
Soon after, Collin landed.
He had missed the bail out as well. He had to side hill land.
After I saw him side hill land, I knew that I was going to be hiking alone.
The weather was perfect.
So I didn't mind the hike.
I found this shackle. If you lost it, let me know.
It was a great workout.
Randy and @paleotreats trolled me after the hike.
