It's here :(
Hello Steemians!
The situation is serious in our country, too. Slovenia has closed its border with Italy today, with the whole of Italy quarantining over 60 million people, the largest focal point of the corona virus in Europe.
Some say it's the common flu, that panic is unnecessary, well, but some say otherwise.
Dr. Daniele Macchini, Bergamo, Italy:
The situation is dramatic here, I find no other words. There is a state of war here, and we are fighting constantly, day and night. The unfortunates come one after another to the emergency room. The signs they have are in no way like the complications of the flu.
The elderly population is most represented in our country and it is difficult to find someone who doesn't take at least tablets for pressure or diabetes. However, I can assure you that when you see young people who end up in intensive care or, worse, are hooked up to a blood-oxidizing machine, carelessness goes away.
The current situation is very difficult to imagine and the numbers of the situation are not adequately described. Our hospitals are flooded with Covid-19 and operate at 200% capacity. We have stopped all routine interventions and some emergencies like trauma or stroke are not being treated at all. We have hundreds of patients with severe respiratory problems and many of them have only a face mask available.
We saw all this. If you take things seriously, you don't have to. I really hope it's not as bad as it is with us. But be prepared.
The border is closed, all major outdoor events canceled, and schools are still open. It's not panic here, it's just like a kind of morbid feeling...
In Sunday, here in Slovenia, we have 8 patients infected with corona virus, in Monday we have 16, today (Tuesday) we have 34. What will happen tommorow?
Enjoy the rest of the day!
