My 3rd Steemit Anniversary
Do I have your attention now??? Actually I Googled 3rd anniversary to find an appropriate photo or meme to go along with my post and this is what popped up. Actually, I was looking for something more along the lines of...

But you have to admit, the first one was a real attention getter.
I got an email a couple of days ago congratulating me on my 3rd year on Steemit... however, it was on Thanksgiving Day 2016 that I watched a video on High Impact Flix that encouraged me to sign up, so to me Thanksgiving will always be my anniversary. It's been a mercurial ride from the dizzying heights of late 2017 to the depths of 2018... I had to deplete my account just to afford food for my dog. In the last year I made it to the apex of Weku the highest rep on the platform) a dubious achievement indeed. I made a fortune in virtually worthless crypto... my Monopoly money empire. But now I'm where I belong... writing once again for the sake of writing.
I learned that for all of its shortcomings that Steemit is fundamentally an honest place... that's not saying that all of the users are honest, but the platform itself is- and after what I've been through in the last year, that in itself is a welcome relief. This Thanksgiving feels like a homecoming to me... so here's to at least another three years.

Yeah, I can fully relate to that - just been thinking similar things. I remember when you first started posting and your posts were some of the best ones I'd seen on Steemit.

I don't know about the platform being essentially an honest place, though my opinion is probably tainted from the 3000+ downvotes I've received over the past year, and Steemit's seeming unwillingness to do anything to reign in serial, ideological downvoting by people who do NOTHING here but downvote.
After my experience on Weku, ideological downvoting is almost a welcome relief- at least it's an honest disagreement done in a bad way. I managed to accrue the highest rep on Weku and 500K wekucoins (worth maybe $150) for a years worth of work. That place turned into a clusterfuck of dishonesty!!!
A person who never posts though...and just downvotes... is NOT involved in any kind of "honest disagreement."
Sorry Weku didn't work out, brother.

Hey Rich happy 3rd steemit anniversary and Thanksgiving.
It's good to see you back I never really thought weku would make it, there is just too much stuff going on behind the scenes at Steemit to be on any other platform.
Also how is Bruno doing?
Thanks Buddy... you should see the stuff going on behind the scenes at Weku (all bad). Bruno is ok, he's 16 and has dementia so he's forgotten about some things like being house broken. So I've had to make some adjustments... but other than that he's ok. It was just Thanksgiving so we pigged out on turkey, mashed potatoes and sweet potato pie for a couple of days.
Hoorah for the three year mark!! It's a weird one, it seems both short and long!

Bruno is doing pretty good... we;ve been pigging out on turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy for two days... and sweet potato pie (that dog will eat anything- he loves pears)
