Are You Holding Your DEC ? (@Steem-Bounty Added)
What is DEC ?
DEC is the abbreviation for Dark Energy Crystals. They are the official in game currency of Steem-Monsters/Splinterlands. We earn DEC via game play.
We have plenty of options and fun ways to use our DEC and I suspect more fun ways to be on the way.
So far we have:
- DEC Bot
- DEC Potions
- DEC Skins
- DEC Tournaments
- DEC Orbs
With all these options to use our DEC on do we have any hodler's ? I for one plan on holding at least until I get enough for the two 100% potions and 100+10 orb promo. Even then I may decide to not to let go of my DEC as Guilds are right around the corner and that may increase the value (Not Financial Advice).
So I pose the question: What are you doing with your DEC, are you a HODLER or a SPENDER ?

Sell some, buy orbs with some. Trying to save up enough for daily rewards one.
Do you mean the gain extra rewards one or the "mystery potion" where we don't know what the reward is going to be.
Yup. It could be useful.
I'm definitely holding my DEC. It's definitely not high enough yet but whatever I have. If you are interested join @zaku giveaway contest. He distributes 1000 DEC everyday to lucky winners. I never won though. Luck isn't my thing. Try your luck.

I'm hodl-ing and investing in DEC. I'm on HODL!
I bought DEC at Steem engine and equally delegated SP to earn DEC though I have recently undelegated because the reward is very minimal lol
I was getting about 200DEC daily for 750DSP. You would agree with me that one can earn more than this amount with just a single victory lol

I haven't delegated any either. I don't see much benefit to doing so for smaller accounts because as you said one can earn the same amount of DEC in battle and keep our SP.
Yeah, just that I delegated a few hours after the announcement was made and I wasn't expecting the rewards to be this small :)

U guys are right. I have delegated 50 sp which gets me about 15-25 decs per day. Nothing really when I make more than twice in a game. Will prolly be removing it one of these days
Oh I have done all kinds of things with DEC, but I am not a holder.
Every chance I get I spend it :D
I have bought so many orbs I can't even count them all, and I always got some mystery potions rolling for me.
I got Legendary and Gold Foil potions active at all times
I have burned 2 GF Legendaries and 3 GF Epics and countless Reward cards.
Sometimes I sell dec to buy some cards that I need to level up.
Are you using the potions with your orbs, if so how is that working out for you ?
What GF Legendaries did you burn ?
Idk if you know how the potions work, but it automatically uses it on anything you open.
I would love to only use the potions on beta packs and orbs, but unfortunately it automatically uses them on reward cards aswell.
I burned GF Ruler of the Sea and GF Angel of Light (By the way I opened both of these myself on my 2nd account)
I wasn't planning on burning the Angel of Light at first, but I just felt the luck on day and went for it and bought many orbs (60,000 DEC worth of) other DEC went into potions.
It would be nice to have an option that allows us to choose if we want to use our potions or not.
Yeah, but I guess it would be too OP
If you see that it's going to be a legendary you would just always use a gold potion on it, and only use legendary potions on common cards.
True, I momentarily forgot that we can tell what rarity a card is before we flip.
I believe in holding for now. Steem is young and so are the coins on it, given a bit more time I think we will see a mass adoption of the market, then will be the time to sell.
Good point and I hope your prediction is correct.
Nice t-shirt
