Unexplored Shafts + Bull Burial in the Giza Pyramid of Khafre | Ancient Architects
As we all know there are three main pyramids on the Giza Plateau, but the second largest, known as the Pyramid of Khafre, is the one that seems to get the least attention.
What do we actually know about this pyramid? Ancient mystery channels and websites rarely talk about it because there seems to be a lack of mystery surrounding it, but as I’ve discovered with a little research, this really shouldn’t be the case.
This is the pyramid connected to the mysterious Valley Temple in the east. The causeway of the pyramid forms the southern boundary of the Sphinx enclosure and the pyramid still has a large amount of casing stones on the outside. It is often mistaken for the Great Pyramid on numerous blogs and media sites because to the untrained eye, it does look larger. It is built onto topographically higher ground and the pyramid itself has a steeper angle and therefore it does give the illusion of being larger.
Although most people rarely look into this pyramid, I have gone through the work of Giovanni Belzoni, the man who re-opened the pyramid in 1818 and discovered that he recorded two unknown shafts inside the burial chamber, similar to the so-called air shafts in the Great Pyramid. They these shafts are not talked about today - why? Furthermore, he also discovered bull bones within the granite sarcophagus. Watch this video to learn more!
