Let it Burn // Déjalo quema

On a long, slow walk through a valley of debris with my best friend, we grew tired and sat next the burning dumpster that is Steemit. Soon the entire valley was ablaze.

En una larga y lenta caminata por un valle de escombros con mi mejor amiga, nos cansamos y nos sentamos al lado del basurero en llamas que es Steemit. Pronto todo el valle estaba en llamas.

I don’t know which is hotter: the look in your eyes or the smoldering ruins of a former paradise. The world can turn to ash and as long as we are together nothing else matters. Fake friendships and financially motivated alliances crumbling around us mean nothing when compared to mutual trust and genuine affection. We know what it takes to be happy and it is not material. Let the rest smolder at our feet.

No se que es más caliente: la mirada en tus ojos o las ruinas humeantes de un antiguo paraíso. El mundo puede convertirse en cenizas y mientras estemos juntos nada más importa. Falsas amistades y alianzas motivadas financieramente que se desmoronan a nuestro alrededor no significan nada cuando se comparan con la confianza mutua y el afecto genuino. Sabemos lo que se necesita para ser feliz y no es material. Dejemos que el resto arda a nuestros pies.

My advice to my readers: turn off Steemit and spend time with the one you love. In one form or another, this pile of burning garbage will still be here when the dust has settled. This isn’t your real life!

Mi consejo a mis lectores: apaguen a Steemit y pasen tiempo con la persona que aman. De una forma u otra, este montón de basura ardiente seguirá aquí cuando el polvo se haya asentado. Esta no es tu vida real!
