Fulfilling The Mandate of Goodness
Permit me to ask this simple but deep question: Since the dawn of today, how many people have told you "thank you" by reason of the goodness you have shown to them? How many people's faces have you caused to smile since the breaking of the day? Doing good, sometimes, does not cost much - it could just come as a hand of help you give someone in desperate times.
True love for your brethren is not only in your words; yes words may wield much power, but more than that, your actions must be complementary to your words. You can't say you have love in your heart for your brother if you cannot lend a hand of help to him.
Doing good should not be seasonal or occassional. Everyday you live, you should understand that you have a mandate to fulfil, and that mandate is to do good; not just to your friends, but to humanity.
Your acts of goodness and kindness should not be centered on the people that you hope to repay you in the future but also to the people that may not afford paying you. When you do this, the impact you will create in them will be beyond what words can explain.
Your acts of goodness should be summed up in four words: "Do it to all". By this, posterity will not be in a hurry to forget you.
