The Average Cost Of Ganja

in #palnet5 years ago

Some of the most expensive ganja in the world comes from places like Japan, South Korea, and Hong Kong. Here, you could find yourself paying above $20 per gram.

In Japan, if you're caught selling it you could face 10 years behind bars. Just for possession alone you could see thousands in a fine and years in prison. Still, cannabis use is growing in Japan and it's reported that police have been struggling to fight the trend.

Despite the strict and unjust rules surrounding the cultivation, use, and sale of cannabis etc, it is still widely available even in prison today. You can't stop this exchange, no matter the consequences that get threatened. And it's been years of peaceful people being wrongfully labeled as criminals and treated as a threat.

If you are looking for a better price, places like Ecuador, India, Panama, and Belgium, have ranked much lower in affordability, some regions offering ganja for $4 per gram or less.

In many cases where legalization has been accepted, customers have been displeased with the prices which has left many still relying on the black market.

For many places that still harshly restrict cannabis, you can find a mix of availability. In Indonesia for example, previous investigations on ganja prices have reported an average of $3 per gram for places like Jakarta.

In Jamaica, you can find cannabis going for anywhere between $2 to $7 per gram or more.

The designation of the world's biggest cannabis loving nation has previously gone to Iceland and Nigeria.

And these aren't likely to be the first places that come to mind when you think of cannabis. Mind you, not all data is available on everyone's cannabis use, so the currently reported prevalence of cannabis use could still be vastly underestimating the true usage.

Some of the biggest weed smoking countries have been listed as the United States, Canada, Chile, New Zealand, Australia, Italy, and Jamaica.

For many, when you think of cannabis culture, Jamaica probably comes to mind first as a place where you would expect to find many cannabis smokers. Based on the data that is available though, there are surprisingly many countries that currently rank above them.

“Even as much as everyone thinks that everyone smokes herb in Jamaica, not everyone does — and there are definitely people who look down upon it,... But from my personal experience in Jamaica, the herb is a daily part of life. For Rastas it comes from a spiritual place.” - Bob Marley's eldest grandson, Bambaata Marley, Kingston native now living in California.

The average cannabis user is going to spend $600 or more every year on cannabis and related products.

For those in places like Canada which recently legalized, they could pay even more. For Canadians specifically, it's been found that they might spend as much as $100 every week or more on cannabis. In Canada, legal cannabis is said to be almost 60 percent more than that from the black market. Leaving many of them still supporting the black market..

Save And Grow Your Own

Growing your own cannabis can save hundreds or more depending on how much you grow and use.

Not everyone has the same amount of freedom however, in regards to how many plants they can grow for themselves or if they can grow at home at all.

There are millions of users out there with many of them still wanting to keep their use discrete. Hopefully it won't be too long before those hiding can shed the shame that's associated with their use and they can learn to grow to be proud of and spread the word about what this plant can do.

More investment into Ganja will make more countries forced to decriminilize it and find it more profitable to tax it than making it illegal.

i have fond memories of my blue sofa and weekly gorging on lots of kebab meat while stoned as a fool. good times, gooood times! :)

It is easy to find Ganja in developing countries but most of them is not legal.

I'd welcome a post about cultivating cannabis (for domestic use), especially in more temperate climates.

‘Ganja’ was originally considered to be cannabis originating from Jamaica, still feels weird seeing it used generally but it’s common now I guess...

The best ‘Ganja’ naturally grown in JM comes from Orange Hill, about 15mins outside of Negril town centre. I’ll be visiting there soon... um... you know... to check up on the farmers 😏

After I googled, I discovered that Ganja was actually an Indian word. Then used by many other languages for cannabis.

That’s kl, Google didn’t exist 30 years ago... there would have been no way for me (or anyone to check that) 😉

Alas, like I said... common use now I guess... Indian or other.

Cheers !BEER

The more you know. Thank God for Google. 😁

You’re definitely right, however Google isn’t the only source of info... I guess this sums it up:

This plant should be legal everywhere...

in Philippines i think you can buy it at 10-20 peso its around $0.4 but you need to hide before pulis busted you 😂

@doitvoluntarily, It's really important to make laws against what is right and what is wrong. And in my opinion there should be a balance instead of pressurising innocent people.
