The Old Releases The New
Hi fellow steemians, I want to start a series of interesting discussions on some notable Art works and paintings known to the world of Arts and graphics. I hope you guys havent forgotten about my introduction just as yet. Anyway a quick reminder isnt a bad idea, huh? Right! Aside all the medical stuff, health issues and christianity, i also love arts and painting, yeah right! Many have presumed for long that Paintings are a western thing and only caucasians have a fine and detailed taste for them. Well im not an Asian or Caucasian but i do enjoy paintings and I will try to, throught this series, let you understand why.
Let's start with the painting above. This is an interesting one. Since this is an introduction, to this series im starting, Im not going to bore you with the details yet. But I am going to ask you to take a look at it very carefully and try to guess the message this is portraying....Have you had any guesses yet? Maybe you have, maybe not.
But this is very simple.
The lady in the painting represents the old self. The bird represents the new self. We all have an old self that has some traits and characteristics that we may not be so proud of or happy about and we wish we could make changes to them. Well actually we can. The old self usually holds the better new version of ourselves captive. The reasons vary from person to person. Some may be fear of the new, uncertaintities, insecurity, procrastination, laziness or simply not wanting to change (desire for change). This list, however, is not exhaustive. There are more reasons. You have to discover for yourself. When the new self is set free it may carry some of the traits of the old self which is represented in the painting by the rainbow colours . These traits should be positive ones that will make the new self better. The Bible describes this in the New testament. In Ephesians 4:24 it says ' and that ye put on the new man which after God is created in righteousness and true Holiness'.
** There is a new and better version of you that will do exploits. Let it free and Reap the Rewards**
