Painting Flowers With Oil Paint: Step By Step

With me @rizazulmi. Today we will paint the Siberian snow with oil paint.

To create an image, I use :

• oil paint ZHK "Nevskaya Palitra";
• canvas print on carton;
• bristles width (number 10);
• synthetic brushes (number 6, number 2 and number 8).

Step-by-step process :
First, I outline the future drawings with a hard graphite pencil. I draw the contours of petals and snow stems.

I started painting the background. I will make it somewhat abstract and opaque, illustrating the outline of the spring jungle. The brown color slightly outlines the tree trunk. For the sky looking through the trees, I mix the blue paint with white zinc (completely without stirring it) and leave a fairly dense patch of the colors produced on the canvas.

Then I dilute the umbra with the solvent so the paint is quite liquid and the paint on the ground.

The turn of interest has come. I mix blue sea with white color, get soft purple color, and I painted on petals with paint. The rod fills the green, orange - the core of the flower.

The detail at this stage is completely non-existent, I will face it, when the first layer is rather dry, it will attach to the canvas.

I added a dark tone to the ground with a thick brown paint (solid).

I went on to draw flowers. In my shadow of putting a deep purple color, I paint in bright places with different shades of purple gradation (from dark to very pale), I add a pink reflex. I painted my heart in orange, yellow and green, and I made the middle part yellowish white.

The movement of a thin synthetic brush (number 2) mimics a longitudinal vein on the petals, trying to convey its shape and indentation.

On the ground I painted melted snow with the nuances obtained by mixing white with yellow, black, and brown. I put the paint on a thick canvas, leaving the texture of the feather bristles (number 10).

When the image is a bit dry, in the next session I rewrite the petals of the snowdrops. Strengthen them with shadows and reflexes. Due to the elongated elongated lines, the petal shape looks more natural. In a light reflex I added white with a little extra lemon yellow paint. On the ground, oker paint and grass brown grass last year.

Strengthens shadows for contrast.
