"The mountains of the Moon"oil and oxides on canvas________________ "le montagne della luna" olio e ossidi su tela
Ruwenzori
2000 years ago, Ptolemy hypothesized the presence of inaccessible mountains in central Africa where the Nile was presumably born. He called them "the mountains of the moon". For centuries explorers have been searching for them, overcoming untold difficulties, but mountains and stone walls are often the easiest to climb and sand deserts are the easiest to cross. Much more difficult is to deal with the vertigo and the desolation of our soul.
"Continue what you started and maybe you'll get to the top, or at least you'll get to the top of a point that you will only understand will not be the top"
Seneca
"Something is hidden. Go find him.
Go and look behind the mountains. "
Rudyard Kipling
Along the Nile, source of life, the path is marked, you just have to go, oxides and lands to immerse yourself in this wonderful journey to find or regain life.
Ruwenzori
Seneca
“Qualcosa è nascosto. Vai a cercarlo.
Vai e guarda dietro i monti.”
Rudyard Kipling

Wow!!..the most important exploratory discovery of 1800 painted in a fantastic way with pasty and material colors.
Such contrast ! Very strong juxtaposition between the dark browns and the electric blue surface of the river !! Beautiful~

That's a fantastic piece, you did a wonderful work to illustrate the ground the water, its dusty and bare. The bluish color of the water gives hope to the environment and explain more about the sky above. The swamp and moss around the water are some basic features of typical environment like that you illustrated. I'll like to see more of your good works.
very interesting comment ty!

The Old Sacred Nile River
Looks amazing maestro @armandosodano
The colour of the water looks like from Paradise
Regards and thanks for sharing another genius artwork of your maestro
This is so beautiful! I especially love the reflections you created in the water. And I loved the script you added at the beginning of your post; it really set the stage for the depth of your painting!
