Painting on a Rainy Day
Today is an "indoor sports" kind of day as the gardens are enjoying a much needed long, slow rain and my aching bones appreciating a well deserved rest. So I made it an opportunity to work on the owl painting.

The next step is to complete the tree limb, and then the owl will be the grand finale!
Many people that do paintings by number tend to paint the main character first and the background last, but I find that saving the focal point for the end keeps me motivated. It's like the final reward for my effort!

I love the background of nature, you used so vivid colors and each one combines perfectly. the shading is perfect and the contrast with the trees is the right one. So far it is an excellent painting and I am anxious to see it finished. Good post, greetings.
