We who are your children call on you

For yours was the power to bring the world into being

And with the power of Eros, your divine brother

To bind it together

We who are born, live, and die upon that world call upon you

And with love we offer to you into the earth itself

Milk and oil and the cakes we baked for you

For all life is a blessing gifted us by you

Binding us to you

We who love and laugh in the world

And fear and despair as well

We offer our prayers to you as we seek solace

In thanks and hope for your divine protection

Binding you to us

Mother

We who seek you in life also hope for our deaths

And in so doing we offer and pray

That you guard us and guide us until that day

When we also hope you have pity upon us and grant us life hereafter

Binding us to the Earth, your sacred abode
