Wildfires: Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth Donate $500,000
Everything you need to live well
Like Lady Gaga, celebrity couple, Miley Cyrus and her fiance, Liam Hemsworth have also joined in providing support towards the Woolsey fire.
The duo of Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth who lost their Malibu home to the fire are donating ($500,000) to the Woolsey fire relief efforts.
In a statement released to E! News from Cyrus’s rep, Miley and Liam revealed,
“Their community and state are very special to them and they want to give back to the place that has created so many beautiful memories for themselves and others. They are donating $500,000 dollars to The Malibu Foundation through Miley’s charity, Happy Hippie in hopes to restore Malibu’s magic.”
According to the famous couple, the funds will be “used for those in financial need, emergency relief assistance, community rebuilding, wildfire prevention and climate change resilience.”
Although they lost their ($2.5 million) four-bedroom home to the fire, their rep said they are “very grateful to be safe along with their animals!”
It would be recalled that Cyrus was out of the country as at the time of the fire but her Hollywood actor fiance was able to survey the damage firsthand. On Tuesday morning, he shared heartbreaking photos of “what’s left” of the Malibu residence.
Despite struggling with the loss of their home, Cyrus and Hemsworth continue to advocate on behalf of those in need.
“Those looking to get involved your time, support and donations are greatly appreciated,” they shared.
Cyrus released a song titled Malibu last year to celebrate the place where she and Hemsworth were able to rekindle their love.
