Exploring our ski area.

Out again today to explore our great plant. Or our little corner at any rate.

Here is the main road in. The lighting was fantastic.

A little further on the trail up.

The track You see Is snowed in from our last posted ski 2 days ago. We could not ski because we were of to collect brewing supplies for our next brew..

The snow was about ankle deep. Deep enough that my skies rarely broke the surface of the snow. Light and powdery.

We skied up till we came to what we call Lake road a small track though the woods We traveled on lake road till we came to the base of Wizards walk and went up to four corners. Where we turned down the newly named witches frolic. First time we had been down this trail this season. This trail, like most in the area , are snowshoe trails. As a result the turns are sharp and usually though the tree well instead on mound of snow between the trees. We have modified the routs to be more ski friendly. Witches frolic takes us down to Lake road. It goes further but that is another ski.

At Lake road we turn back to Main where we turn right and go up the hill. Main will take us up to bicycle camp and right to 4 corners. We don't go up that far as we turn to the left at what we call blue cross trail. This takes us down to a gully with a trail down it we now call sorcerers apprentice. we turned down sorcerers apprentice. This takes us down to gully trail and the picture above.

We then skied the remainder of gully to main road and turned right back to the car.

A great ski of about 5 k.
