RE: THE SNAKE OIL CONTROVERSY: My Take

If you click on the arrow beside the dollar value, it will show you the breakdown in crypto.

and the author gets 75% of that ... so roughly 580SBD, 12.28 SSP and 245 Steem. For simplicity, if they were all equal to SBD = 837.33SBD.

So, the poster spent 1190SBD to get a return of 837SBD.

using an exchange of 1.75 for SBD to USD

The poster spent $2082USD to get a return of $1465.

And I'm fairly confident that some downvotes are in the near future for inappropriately using the #steemit tag for a non steemit related post.

Sort:

"if they were all equal to SBD"
but right now there is a pretty wide spread, I get how all that works, it seems like you are calculating this manually for some reason, try out that steemworld.org tool if you have not yet, scroll down to recent posts and they break down all these numbers for you.

  • edit he is down another 3 SBD since I last checked, still up about 37 SBD

He'll get dropped a few pegs soon I suspect. Some of the big players are yet to pay a visit.

he is has been going up and down some, still well into the positive range, heck he has still made more off this than I have ever grossed on a post.

"The poster spent $2082USD to get a return of $1465."...
You're considering this result if the crypto still stable since the moment that you did this calculation since at now. Otherwise and considering that in this time most part of the time do cryptomarket is down... Its could represent a lost more.

Definitely.

Vote Bots are great for getting exposure. But, if you watch the results, they don't usually provide much gain.

The owners of the votebots always win though.:-)
