My entry in the @originalworks writing contest.
Cryptocurrency is largely dominating and everyday, blockchain technology is greatly improving.
When you talk about improving the blockchain system, you talk about Beam.
Beam is a coin with better and improved blockchain features.
If there's anything that individuals value personally, then it's privacy and security and this is what Beam is offering in an improved way.
"Beam has smaller blocks than any other blockchain, giving it maximum scalability. It’s a faster and more efficient network
Computing, data storage, medicine and automotive markets make up a small sample of areas to which blockchains are being tested".
One outstanding feature of Beam is the use of "the Mimblewimble protocol" to automate it's algorithm, thereby helping users to regulate their transaction information, creating an efficient network computing and data storing platform, and "Tying multiple transactions into a single transaction, tying blocks into a single transaction, tying an entire blockchain into a single transaction".
Beam is excellently different because it takes care of the current issues of privacy on the blockchain. "The concept of Mimblewimble is to enable privacy transactions without clogging up the network. Beam is building their network from scratch in C++ based on Mimblewimble for this reason".
Mimblewimble uses cryptographic commitment scheme with two basic properties: hiding and binding, in ensuring confidential transactions and transactions cut-through.
"Beam is built on Mimblewimble to allow users to send and receive money in a secure and private way. These properties are a result of the protocol’s ability to remove the need for addresses and amounts in the verification of transactions".
