I know it shocked the Hell out of me the first time I did this. I couldn't believe it either. It is fun though when you see other peoples reactions for the first time. I know this same process is how people charge their drinking water filtering all the bad energy out of it so they can drink it. In fact, I believe Rose Quartz draws all the fluoride out of your drinking water.
