What surprised me was the strength of my reaction. I'm thinking about doing a session in the autumn about steemit with the organisations I work with in London. I've just blown their minds with the Internet of Things, so maybe now is the time to catch them with the block chain and crypto-currencies.
It's where smart devices have sensors that gather information from the environment and share it with the internet and with other devices. One of the best examples is driverless cars which will be sensing information from the road/pavement/traffic lights etc and sharing it with the internet (and vice versa) so that it can navigate to where it is directed without bumping into things.
Common household items are Hive, Alexa and other personal assistants and Phillips dimmable lights, there are also smart meters and smart locks (not to mention smart fridges) and soon all these things will be able to communicate with each other (some already do).
Sweet, so that's one of the things I'm messing with. Got me a little echo Dot and some smart bulbs. I'm working on more cause smart home stuff is super cool!
