The Illusion of feminism
Growing up, progressive media taught me that the world is changing. Women and men are being treated as equals. I saw this at my home. My dad made lunch, mom made dinner. When dad lost his job , mom supported the family.
But in the real world, I realized that people like my father are rare. In Asian societies particularly, a woman is expected to earn, do household chores and sacrifice her hobbies and interests for the family.
During covid, why did most of the tasks fall to women?
Because feminism like kindness is an illusion. They are superfluous concepts to hide our raw instincts.
