Opinion: in 2018 bitcoin will not conquer new peaks
Economist and bitcoin investor Tour Demester is convinced that in 2018 the price of bitcoin will not update the highs. In his opinion, the main reasons are weak retail demand, fluctuations of institutional investors and a large dependence of capitalization on the activity of the cash. Nevertheless, he is confident of growth in the long term.
Demester believes that the current year will be a shock for the crypto-currency industry: altcoins will be in the phase of the so-called lemon market, the main characteristic of which is asymmetric information, regulators will increase pressure, and infrastructure problems will worsen.
